Neocare is focused on management of Orofacial Pain. Our approach makes us different and successful.

We take deep interest in the patient’s condition and prepare the patient to accept the root cause or origin of pain. We work closely to build interest and confidence in the patient towards a common goal. Our treatment has two clear goals – pain relief and functional rehabilitation. We use a combination of evidence based practice and counseling to treat patients. For us patients are a source of learning and achievement.
Neocare plans to bring into India advances in medical sciences achieved in developed countries like USA through constant exchange and mentorship programs with leading authorities in orofacial treatment.


Dr. Ruchika Sood is one of the pioneers of Orofacial pain treatment in India.

She is a Board Certified Orofacial Pain Specialist from American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP). In her practice spanning 14 years in India and America she has treated over 1000 patients and helped them achieve high functional levels. She has keen interest in research and is currently working on furthering her clinical understanding in treatment of TMJ, Facial Pain, Headaches, Sleep Apnea/Snoring disorders and Facial Cancer Pain.

She holds a clinical fellowship in Temporomandibular Disorders & Orofacial Pain and a M.D.S degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (USA).
She is member of many national & international pain societies.

Advisory Board

Neocare's Medical Advisory Board provides the company with guidance on developments and trends in the treatment of orofacial pain and related aspects of orofacial pain medicine. The board will comprise of physicians across a variety of specialties and plan is to constantly seek their advice in complex clinical matters.

The board will also help Neocare achieve its Research and Development goals.

Chairman - Advisory Board

Dr. Heir is a past President and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orofacial, and Past-President and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain. Dr. Heir is currently the Chair of the written examination committee for the American Board of Orofacial Pain.
Having pursued his undergraduate studies at Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Heir graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with the degree of Doctor of Medical Dentistry. He is currently a Clinical Professor, Division, Program and Clinical Director of the Center for Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain of Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine. He also serves as the director of the oral biology post graduate core module on orofacial pain and director of the third year undergraduate orofacial pain lecture series. Dr. Heir is a member of many professional organizations devoted to the study and diagnosis of pain disorders, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Heir has published papers, chapters and abstracts on topics related to the field of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain, serves on several editorial boards, has authored chapters on the assessment of the temporomandibular disorder patient, and has contributed to other chapters on TMJ surgery and neuropathic pain. He was the primary author of the nationally accepted Post Graduate Core Curriculum in Orofacial Pain.
Dr. Heir's other interests have been recognized, and he is considered an authority on orofacial pain in Lyme Disease, a debilitating disorder seen in the United States and other parts of the world. In 1996, the Governor of New Jersey appointed him to the Governor's Lyme Disease Advisory Council for the State of New Jersey. Dr. Heir served as the Council's Vice Chair for four years and continues as one of its members.

Dr. Thomas practise philosophy revolves around special focus in the treatment of Craniomandibular Disorders and Oro-Facial Pain conditions and dental treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Advanced level consultant to insurance companies and law firms, conducting Independent Medical/Dental Examinations and providing expert testimony for them.
Dr. Davis Thomas successfully completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, India, in 1992. He then joined New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry in 1994, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) three years later. In 1998, he went on to complete one year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NYU.
In 2002, he established his first practice in Oakhurst, NJ and while in private practice, he took several Continuing Education courses at reputed US dental and medical schools in the field of TMJ/TMD and Orofacial Pain. To further his education in this area, Dr. Thomas joined the Post Graduate Fellowship in TMD and Orofacial Pain at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2005.
After completing the fellowship he then went on to receiving his Masters (MSD) in Orofacial Pain, also from UMDNJ. Dr. Thomas is currently doing a Masters in Sleep Medicine (MSc Med) with the University of Sydney, Australia.
Dr. Thomas now continues his research in Pain Management at Rutgers University Dental School, where he is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Diagnostic Sciences Division. There, he is in charge of the dental treatment of established Orofacial Pain cases. He is also the faculty in charge of setting up a Dental Sleep Medicine Program. He has over 2000 hours of Continuing education credits on record. The experience and education Dr. Thomas has acquired over the years has allowed him to lecture extensively all around the world. He has presented several posters and papers at international pain conferences, and met with leading researchers in the field.
Dr. Thomas also acts as a consultant to several dental and medical insurance companies by performing Independent Medical Examinations. He has been a commissioned officer in the United Sates Army since 2001. He is also an Attending at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ and at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Dr Cibele completed her Master Science in Dentistry (MSD) from Rutgers Schoool of Medicine, NJ, USA.She is currently Assistant Professor at Center for Temporomandibular and Orofacial Pain, Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, NJ, USA.
In addition to United States , Dr. Cibele is also well recognized Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorder specialist in Brazil. Dr Cibele serves as Visiting Professor at Hospital das Clinicas, Medical School, University of Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil.
Dr Cibele has keen interest in Burning Mouth Syndrome.As a special interest she has done extensive research on BMS and is known for her scientific approach for the BMS treatment worldwide.
